App 3: iCivics
iCivics is a website that provides teachers with games and lesson plans for their students on a multitude of different topics. I had never used iCivics before, however it was very easy to use. Everything is easy to find and access from games to lesson plans. The game I played is called Do I Have a Right? The game allows students to play as a lawyer and determine which clients have cases based on the facts of the case and their knowledge of the Constitution.
To begin the game you create a law firm and pick a partner with a skill that you want. You then proceed to decide whether or not the clients who walk into your office have a case or not and whether you want to work with them right then or at a later date.
This game would be a great way to help kids learn about how the legal system works in the US and what our constitutional rights are. I would definitely use this game and others like it in my classroom.

The above lesson plan is all about what government is in the eyes of Thomas Hobbes and John Locke. It provides teachers with good activities for students to do. Like sketching the big ideas of Hobbes and Locke.
This website will be a huge advantage in my classroom. I'll be able to pull from a multitude of resources in order to make learning more interesting for my students.
